How to Choose an OMNI Undersink and Whole House Water Filter

To help you choose an OMNIFilter to meet your needs, we have created an on-line selection guide for Whole House and Undersink filters. Note: we always recommend that you install a Whole House filtration system to reduce rust, sediment, and chlorine in the water that enters your home. A whole house filter will protect your appliances from rust and sediment and remove much of the chlorine that causes itchy skin and damages your clothing.

We recommend OMNIFilter Model U25 as your Whole House filtration system. If you have a large home or high water demands, we recommend OMNIFilter Model BF7.

How to Choose an OMNI Faucet Mount or Countertop Water Filter

OMNI "do-it-yourself" Undersink and Whole House water filters are designed for easy installation – clamping a saddle valve around your cold water supply line is all there is to installing your filter. However, if you do not want to tap into your cold water line or if you live in a rental unit and cannot tap into the pipes, an OMNI Faucet Mount or Countertop water filter is for you.

For a low-cost, entry-level water filter, the OMNI F1 Faucet Mount unit will give you great tasting water at the end of your tap. Plus, it takes only minutes to install.

For a filter that not only gives great tasting water but also removes rust, sediment, odors, chlorine, lead, Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts (bacteria), lindane (a pesticide), atrazine (a herbicide), mercury, and asbestos, you will want to select the OMNI LN3 Countertop water filter. The LN3 has a low profile and is out of the way. Plus, it can be installed in minutes.

How to Choose an OMNI Refrigerator/Icemaker Water Filter

The OMNI R200 or R400 Series A Refrigerator/Icemaker filters will make your ice cubes taste great and take that chlorine taste and odor out of your cold drinks. The only difference in the three models is the way they attach to the 1/4" tubing behind your refrigerator. See each product page for details.
