OMNI Corporation was founded in 1970 with the sole intention of making affordable residential water filtration products. Prior to OMNI Corporation, water filters were sold solely by water conditioning dealers and some plumbing contractors, and as such, were expensive to buy, install, and maintain.

After several years of research and engineering, OMNI Corporation introduced the first patented valve-in-head whole house water filter in 1974. This on-off-bypass valve-in-head allowed for easy installation and even easier cartridge changing. OMNI's patented design created an entirely new market — Do-It-Yourself water treatment.
OMNI Corporation again changed the market in 1989 with the introduction of an affordable lead filter. Before this time, the only way to reduce lead at the faucet was through expensive and wasteful reverse osmosis technology. OMNI's new undersink and countertop lead filters were, and still are, much more affordable and easier to install than existing products.
In 1997, OMNI Corporation introduced a pair of new carbon block filters that not only did what previous OMNI Corporation filters did, but they also removed Crytosporidium and Giardia cysts 99.99% in municipal and well water. One carbon block filter also has been certified to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from water. This carbon block technology is being expanded by OMNI to include countertop and faucet filtration.
OMNI Corporation products carry National Sanitary Foundation (NSF®) certification, an especially important feature when making health claims (i.e., lead, Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts) about filtration products.
As OMNI Corporation continues its growth into the future, we continue to be guided by the same principle that has led to our success — deliver high quality residential water filtration at an affordable price.
